Transmitter/Reciever Cicuits

I need you to help me with a project I am doing at school. Involves a transmitter/reciever circuit that sends messages from one area to another. Needs to work over a distance of 300 yards. Doesnt have to be perfect. Need circuit for a PCB and any equations you can give me.
