Hie, guys can you help with a circuit of a high frequency astable multivibrator capable of achieving 500khz or higher and using discrete components only (no ICs)
 
I want to make a switch mode power supply for car amplifier. You know it uses ferrite cored transformer and that requires high frequencies, not the ordinary 50Hz

A multivibrator would be a VERY poor choice, use a proper switch-mode IC.

You don't just use a free-running oscillator, you MUST have feedback to stabilise the output.
