help need a simple circuit for a tracking devise (transmitter and reciever)
for a maximum of 500m, no need of great accuracy. however weight is of great importance the lighter the better. :?:

Location : Laws about what freaquency we can use vary with where you are in the world.

Terrian : 500 meters in open air is one thing , but in a urban area it's going to need more power

Application : What's it for ? what is the upper mass limit ?

A very simple system used for tracking animals uses a radio beacon and a directional antenna. You use the directional antenna to find the direction of the beacon from two different locations. If you draw lines from the two positions in the direction of the beacon it's located where the two lines cross.

The terrane will be open ground, The application is for a modal R/C plane hence the weight issue, the ideal weight should be no more than 35 g
Frequency of the plane is 127Mhz

Would you believe it , we have a circuit diagram on this very site!
