riccardo Member May 12, 2015 #1 Hi, Does anyone know of a reference to all the transistor package types for comparison. The 218 and 247 seem to be interchangeable. It's hard to know what the difference is, or if there's any others that fit in the same footprint.

K kubeek Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member May 12, 2015 #2 TO218 is a little smaller, and it has an exposed tab, where TO247 has the screw hole insulated so it is easier to mount to a heatsink.
