Newbie Here I need to make a 2 second timer circuit for the flash from a disposable camera. now in general here is the board for the flash.

there are 2 leads for the power one AA battery
2 leads connected to an led that lites when charged about two seconds
and 2 leads that when connected trigger the flash.

I need a timer circuit that will cause the flash board to trigger after
about 2 or three seconds.

Which would be fine other than the fact that a 555 timer needs a minimum of 4.5V.

There is a 555 that will work from 1.5V but I can't remember the part number, perhaps someone else will.
