I would like to re-affirm what Nigel has said.

If moderator/admin has to edit your post for any reason it is common sense to notify that person and explain why. Our moderators do a great job at this and to give them flak is pretty poor. If a person cannot be contacted they still need to know and a one day suspension is a good way to get their attention without too much disruption.

This thread is way off topic so I’m locking it. And please remember, this place wouldn’t be anywhere near as good without its moderators.

Sorry we weren't meaning to give you flak, we were just making some suggestions. You moderators do an excellent job and I hope it didn't sound like we were being ungreatful.

I don't remember anyone complaining about thier posts been edited but I've been on a forum where one moderator was always editing posts simply because he disagreed with them. He was a stuck up arrogant pig and the reason for me leaving. I deleted my account so all my posts looked like they were by a guest, it's a shame I couldn't have deleted all the posts so half the threads no longer made any sense.

I haven't had any of those problems here. I can't ever remember a moderator editing a post here when he shouldn't have done.

Anyway just so you know, I thought I'd create this thread to show my appreciation!

I second that. No harm intended, just complaining about something that had nothing to complain about! :)

I've never intentionally been critcal of this forum, is the best on the web. Yeah, probably shouldn't joke about some of the countries so much. I'm on one forum that its run real tight, like a university library, just the facts. It's pretty good for some things, but kind of cold, like a funeral home. I've followed links from Google searches into forums the appeared to be completely unmoderated, and pretty much useless, you are interested in piracy and pornography.

This forum is the best, because we are allow some freedom in posting thoughts and opinions, have a little fun in the process of learning. Threads aren't shut down on the first bad post, but after it gotten to be the focus, instead of the origional topic. Can't really think of any reason to complain.

The issues with spam and 'final projects'... What can you do? Spam is a bad problem to be force into dealing with, and its a shame it's not just for E-mail anymore. Final Projects... Who knows where that comes from. This kids are smart enough to get through 3 years of college, think they'll figure out how to still post these request. I don't think it's so much the request, but the presentation, so general an generic. A one line post really is a little rediculous coming from a college student, kind of an insult really. Think that's why it bothers most people.

This board is regulated just right, anybody that doesn't like it, probably doesn't belong here anyway.

The only critism I've ever made is the censorship of the word ponography, but I can see why it's the way it is and it doesn't bother me that much (I'm not that petty).

I don't think there's anything wrong with critism providing it's constructive critism which should never be taken as having a go or flaming.

You'll never please everone, it's just impossible.

Let's not forget we can't blame the moderators for the hlp wiv me prj plz posts, the fools who make them are the only people to balme.

I agree, this forum is the best electronics forum on the net but it isn't perfect, there again nothing is.
