TENS Unit

Just to ask, does anyone know where I could get schematics for a TENS unit? In case you do know, a TENS unit is what doctors use to electrically stimulate muscles. Everything I have tried on my own so far has either shocked the hell out of me or given me a slight tingle. Any help would be appreciated.
