Found a washing machine universal motor, yay! Works ok, needs a bit of TLC. Running it directly on mains is a bit fast to say the least, need some speed control to be able to use it for something.
So I was looking at the TDA1085C rather than just plain triac control, since it has a tacho coil. I can copy and adjust the sample circuit in the datasheet, but I guess there will be a few things that need adding or improving.
Does anyone have experience with these, who can provide some pointers?
