Substituting this MOSFET?

I've started on building a plasma speaker, would using **broken link removed** instead of **broken link removed** be a suitable substitution?

Also, with the MOSFETs I want to use instead, would I be able to not use 12V zener diodes as they're 'Zener Protected'?

IRFP250 is a high power PMOSFET and are available freely-- check at element14.com or with mouser etc
why trying for another replacement ?
