Hi all,

My MSP430F2272 doesn't give any output when connected to the power supply alone. But if i attach the programmer / Debugger in the header provided, it start functioning as per expected.

The RST pin is been pulled up with 10 K resistor too.

Needed help

Thanks

I seem to remember having a problem like this and I think it was a power problem I had.

What programmer are you using, JTAG, or spy-by-wire? What board are you using?

All I can say is check your power input and pullup voltage with a multimeter when removing the programmer. The programmer will supply power to the board when it is attached, so the main difference is that extra power connection.
