strain guage output to amplfier

for my project i m using foil strain gauge with minimum and max output of 0 to 10v.i may get Milli volts so that has to be amplify and connected to A/D converter, i m from mechanical branch i don't have knowledge about electronic part so could anybody tell details about this...how can get all this stuffs.please.....and please tell me about conversion from volts to strain got an confusions about this.....please reply or send me details to my email id.....
