Hi,

Sorry for over posting today, I am sitting and the ideas are coming, lol.
Is there any difference if using 2 independent amplifier chips when designing a stereophonic power amplifier, or a stereo single chip is suggested? if the second whats the reason?

Thanks.

High power amplifier ICs like the LM3886 are mono so that they can be cooled properly.
Low power amplifiers like the TDA2822M are stereo or the two channels can be bridged for nearly 4 times as much power output as one channel.
When bridged, the large output capacitor is not used.

Thanks auduguru,
So It is possible to use two of those mono ICs to make and design a stereo Power amplifier, right?

So Making monolithic stereo chips has no advantage than using 2 mono chips for an stereo amplifier?

Yes. Two mono amplifier ICs make a stereo amplifier or make a very high power bridged mono amplifier.

Monolithic stereo amplifier chips have the same input offset voltages so they can be bridged without adding an input offset adjustment trimpot which might be needed if the amplifiers are separate.
