As the voltage converter is just a hunky toroidal transformer it should be ok to work it in reverse. However, the mains switch, if rated for 110V input, would have to be changed for a 220V rated one. Likewise input/output connectors, display and any fuse would need to be suitably rated for the new use.

Thank you so much bro, its starting to feel I have not completely waisted money...it will arrive only on Tuesday, so I will have to see now where I can find a good technician to do the conversion for me...again thx for the assistance.

There are only 3 wires attached to the transformer...black, brown and red....please help with rewiring so my output is 110v and input 220v...

It sounds like an autotransformer.

Photos please, showing all the input & output connections?

In essence, it should need the live & neutral from the original input swapping to the output, and vice-versa.

...or could that red button in front maybe switch between voltages? Im scared to plug it in to test, maybe something will burn....lol

Top drawing is what I see in post 10.

So I put the red wire in the switch and the brown wire to the output where the red wire was connected?

I agree with Ron; black looks to be neutral, connecting directly between input and output.

If so, the brown and red transformer wires are the two voltages. Exchanging them should make it 220-240 IN, to 110-120 OUT.

I would re-label the IEC power input socket to 220-240 (or just 230V) input rather than 110 as well.

I suggest that you leave the voltmeter and its switch connected to the same wires of the transformer as they are at the moment. That will show if it is working.

The labelling of the switch will be the wrong way round but that's all.

Connect up with using a fuse of 15 A or so. If you have the wrong connection that will blow.

Thank you guys sò much...managed to get it working...the multimeter shows a voltage of 115v.
