stacking inverters

Does anyone know whether it's possible to "stack" same specification 12v - 230v inverters. I have 2x1500watt sine wave inverters that I would like to combine to give a 3000watt inverter. I'm no expert but I had visions of an out of sync sine wave or am I being over cautious?

Yes, you need to synchronise the inverters, otherwise they will blow up.

If depends on the inverters so the only advice I can give you is to RTFM.
