Speech recognition

I'm working on a project about speech recognition,,i'm beginner in using matlap,, i need a matlap code that reading any wave and implement it in a text form,,,i need to learn from this code,,,,,,,,,,thanks

First off, what's "matlap"? I've heard of "matlab"...?

Also - this sounds like a software question, not a hardware/electronics question - I think you'll have better luck in another forum, unless you have a specific hardware/electronics need regarding speech recognition...?
