I have been on the forum before sparatically and lost my password. Tried to
retrieve with no luck so I opened a new account.
Anywho, I have a project I am working on and I need a way to switch
the circuitry.
I have a lighting project that I want to work like this:
I want to power the light so all lights (6 in all) will power on I will have
a time delay to control how long they will be on (about 3 seconds).
After the lights power down, I want my control module (a multi-pattern
controller), to power the control module to start the lights going
in the multi-pattern mode.
I was told a while ago that I could use a spdt relay to do this. I would
like to know if this is correct?????? And if so, how do I go about doing so???
It is a 12v project and I have a spdt 12v 30A relay.
As per forum etticate (sp), I have checked the boards and I haven't found
anything to help.

Thanks all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your location not given - do you remember sequential flashing taillights? That was accomplished by series-wired auto flashers tied to individual bulbs. No relay needed for this circuit, if you use a switch or another flasher as a relay. As in car wiring, the input lead must be fused. Long strings may not flash all bulbs, depending on the flashers used.
