hi guys

uhmm, do you have any ideas about a solar cooking??
is it possible to cook with any solar panels??
i have a research about this, and i dont know what are the materials that will be used in this solar cooking
tnx ;p

Yes it is but highly in efficient

you take PV solar panels store the harvest energy in a battery and conect an electrical heater element on it :D

now serious

the best thing what you can do is using the heat energy directly for cooking without convertying it to an other form first

2 main ways to do it you will heat up water in a solar colector to the point that it boils(or close to it) and store it in a tank and use the heat for cooking

Advantige is that since you have some kind of a storage you have control over the amount of energy you reliese for cooking and for some dishes that's verry importand to get a tasty meal

the other way is concentrating so much solar energy on one place that you can use it for cooking (mirrors and lenses) can be used to do that

you will be able to get quicker and much higher temparatures but harder to control the amount of energy

works well for a steak if you need it done on the outside and raw inside but not for cooking your veggies

Get a big pile of sticks. Then get some paper, and shred it up good. Use a magnifying glass to concentrate the sun's rays on the paper. It will catch fire, which will get the wood going, and you have an excellent cooking source.

thank you robert jan ^^ uhmmmmmmmm

Not with solar panels. It'd be better if you just focused the light directly with mirrors or something to cook and at most use a small battery to control the mechanism to best focus the light.

Using solar panels to turn solar energy into electricity for an electrical heating element is like using a gas generator to produce electricity to drive an electric motor in a car. It's more efficient, effective, and simpler to just use the generator's rotary motion as an engine directly.
