Hi I need to design a boost converter with following specs

Vin = 6-9V
Vout=12v
freq=100kHz

I intended to use TL494 PWM ic for this.
My question is;

I couldn't find any logic level mosfets , so how ca i use normal power mosfet for this? (because input voltage is 6V and I cannot turn on mosfet completely with 6V)

hi well searched for IRL540 and BS170 bt couldnt find any.and I dont know any other popular easy to find logic level mosfets

aruna1; I am not familiar with your area or your supplyers but maybe in a pinch you can use a buffer to drive a higher voltage mosfet. Maybe you can use a transistor or and opamp. I hope someone can help you. Good luck Andy

I checked.those mosfets are also not available.
anyway I found some mosfet numbers availble in local shop.from datasheets it seems I can use them.can someone please confirm this?
