I pulled a whoops and lost a tiny component I desoldered. Luckily I remember the markings and there are others on the board.

The diode is an SOT-23 package with two identically oriented diodes. The markings were "A4" then a sideways 7 next to that. Not sure what to make of the seven but when I look up an A4 diode, there is some indication it is a schottky, some not.

The diode only functions as a reverse polarity device to protect a driver chip ground. It is in series between ground and the chip, and there is also a parallel 10k resistor. IMO, does not seem like a schottky is needed there.

I am simply going to have to buy another and move on but need to make sure I get something appropriate.

This could be it.

I have not seen any explanation for the marking of a sideways 7, so I am just trying to determine if there is any significance there?

No idea. Date code perhaps?

From a little more checking around, I do think the 7 is a lot code.
