Small question about PLC programming

Consider the ladder diagram below :

the diagram above says input A and input B needs to on in order to on output B. What if input A or input B off, will output B off? Or remain the same state?

Yes, output will be off unless both AI and BI are both on. It's a basic AND function, and the only time it will be true (output on) is if both A and B are on, otherwise output is off. You didn't label your output B in the ladder line?
