Single or Dual output on generator ?

Hello all,
I am trying to acquire a new signal generator. There are different types and models, but I wonder the usefulness of a single or dual output.
Is the price difference an advantage or just a gadget?
What are the benefits of a double outing?
Please enlighten me on the subject!
