Simple question, but I have to ask: Transformer spec.

When looking at a transformer spec, the output voltage reads thusly:

24VCT

I understand that CT is center tap, and the output voltage under load will be around 24 volts depending on the regulation.

Not sure how to word this, so I'll try to illustrate. Try to imagine that the lines below are the secondary output wires. A indicates one side of the secondary, CT indicates the center tapped wire, B likewise with A.
__________ (A)

________(CT)

__________(B)

So if I have a 24VCT transformer, the potential (24V) is measured across A & B???

Therefore the potential between (A & CT) or (B & CT) is approximately 12V???

Or do I have this backwards?

Thanks for your help!
