I'm looking to design a simple time delay circuit for this project.

It needs to be delayed by about 4-5 seconds before bridging through the diode. This causes the computer to sense a voltage drop in a vehicles O2 sensor.

The current one that is being using is this Automotive Time-Delay Relay

but I am looking for a simpler design possibly just a basic 555 timer?

Any advice would be great! Cheers!

Hi, You can build this very easy and cheap using a pic microcontroller. Your total cost would prob be under $3.00 let me know if you need code help or if you would like one built for you :)
