Simpel code for registrating high/Low on input pins

Hi
I just got my Z8 encore! developer kit..

I got an LCD driver from zilogs site working and is now on my way to the indput pins...but..

My problem is now that I need to register which of 4 switches, connected to the µC, are set to "ON"..

what is the code for this in C?
