Shut down internet

"shall not be subject to judicial review."
That's a scarey thing. that's like a universal warrant to tap Internet traffic.

Personally I think it's a horrible idea.

Apparently we are the only 2 who find this to be a problem!

"People are too apathetic, but then who cares"

It's not a problem, it's a concern.

The Internet is feared by a lot of governments, for lack of controls and its influences. Egypt shut it down during the crisis, unsure about Libya and other mid-East nations. Saudi Arabia may have strict controls on its providers, much like the US Feds want access to providers' data for "investigative purposes". The Net is a permanent depository like a global library - seek and ye shall find!

When Egypt shut down Email, Ecommerce etc. shouldn't it have been called Gypt?

I'll get me coat.

Mike.
