Should data line attach to a pull up resistor?

So this is the circuit:

The data are transfer from 1 PCB to another PCB with a connector.
Should the data line attach to a pull up resistor?
Should the data attach any resistor and TVS (protection cuicuit)?
Is this connection correct?

It depends entirely on the design of both the hardware and software.
