I have two sensors that are each made up of a strip of reed switches where overall resistance goes up and down as the magnet travels up and down. They normally have a three wire setup (5V source, the signal return and then the ground)

If i had 2 sensors and 5 wires, could i share the power for them (jumper my two 5V sources terminals) and have them still operate normally?

You could do it with just four wires; Vcc, Gnd, Sig1 and Sig2
