hey, Im trying to make a countdown circuit using 2 seven segment digital displays from radio shack. My goal is to be able to count down from 30, 20, and/or 10 seconds, and then trip a seperate function such as, sound an alarm etc. anyway, can anyone help???

2 or 3 years ago I helped someone design a meeting timer. If you search my posts for "meeting timer" you should find it. It is not exactly what you want but it should give you some ideas.
