How to set up a community radio for my college? It should be of a radius of 5KM .Need help guys, how to get started?

First you need to have your location filled in - as it's VERY country specific.

For the UK you would first have to get permission and a licence, which would be VERY, VERY, difficult - and could well be impossible.

We only want it for our college, cant we build it on our own?

Presumably you 'could' build the equipment, but any civilised country would probably require it to submitted for testing and approval (almost certainly at many times the cost of buying a commercial one).

But it's not so much a question of the equipment, you first need to find out if you're even alllowed to do it, and what licences are required - presumably you can't just start broadcasting interference willy nilly?.

Do any Uni's in India have their own radio stations?, if so contact them and ask about the procedure.
