the serial communication is very simpel.
i have recently bought a oopic B2.2+ this is a very to use easy pic whit comes whit the chip and the base to program it (about 89$ starterpackage) then you can download the special software ans start using it. from visual basic you can do everything you can ask for data but you can also change things of the oopic chip (PIC16F766-20pt)
