sensing voltage regulation

project: i have a delco alternator that i have rewond in series so i can rotate
it at a slower rpm and acheve 24v. problem is the regulator wants to hold the voltage to 12v. i cannot modafy the regulator i have. figure i will start from scrach. so far i have not been able to find any schematics on delco sensing regulators
so if any one has any idea as to where i might find a schematic or diagram
it would help alot. or any sujestion on an alturnetive

Not exactly sure what you meand by "rewound in series". Did you connect the rotor up to the center of the wye or something?
