Send Text from Microcontroller

Is there some kind of simple module availiable that will allow me to send a text message from a signal from my Microcontroller? I was thinking of using the UART on the PIC to an RS232 port and then some kind of pre build module to do the rest.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can connect to many phones using a simple serial/USB lead, Nokia are probably the best to use as they are widely documented on the net.
