SD Card Interface with PIC uController

hi guys. I need to read and write to a SD Card , create a simple text file(.txt) in SD Card and read and write data to it from my PIC Controller
I'm using PIC18F4520 controller
My problem is I'm not able to find any good articles or tutorials regarding this subject.
I have a basic knowledge regarding PIC Controllers and SPI Bus Communication.
Can anyone help me by providing any good basic materials for Interfacing SD Card with PIC and Creating a .txt file?
or even providing a demo code is very much appreciated.

If you google there are 18F examples out there, generally based on the same SD routines as the Arduino SD library.

i did get some search results from google but they were not too clear. basics were not clear. thats why i asked in the forum
