Scrolling lines on my dvd player

I want to repair my dvd player. It displays scrolling lines when I turn it on. I know it's not the tv.

You better start with something a little more concrete then...like a make and model, fully describe the fault, is there a picture or not etc, otherwise nobody will be able to help you
