Sansui Stereo Bucking

I have a Sansui Stereo model RZ-8200AV and the sound goes on and off about every three seconds. When it does this there is a pretty loud clicking noise coming from inside the box. The face of the stereo remains lit while it is doing this. It does it whether I am listening to my Ipod or a movie or the tuner. Does anyone know if this is an easy fix? Thanks.........Ric
