dear all, anybody had a problem with this plasma 50inch set...the symptom is a vertical black line (sometimes 2) of about 2 inch width which appears at start up but will clear after a while.. ribbon cables appear to be ok..you cant clear the fault by tapping ect...could be heat related in some way but not sure....regards brian .

Most probably it needs a new PDP

ok thanks.....to be honest I had it running for hours ok then big sizzle from the screen then kaput.
