hello,

I have an old digital clock, having chips

Timer Circuit --> 4017 & 4060

Counter Circuit --> 74HC63

BCD 2 7Seg --> 4511

Its currently running on 5V, so i have 2 LEDs (in series) per segment. I want to increase it to 4 LEDs per segment requiring 12V supply.

Can 74HC93 operate on 12V or can i get 12V output from 4511 by supplying 12V on VCC even though the input Qs are at 5V.

or is there any there technique to increase LEDs.

Im newbie please help me ..

Thanks
