why Risistors and Zeners rated bay watts for example a 1Watt 13 Volt Zenar Diode how much current it can pass without damage (1/13 A ?) and another Quastion 1200Watt Power inverter is tht mean 1200VA Power inverter ?And why most UPS Rated with VA and Inverter With Watts?
resistors,capacitors,zeners,transistor... all have a power limit mainly due to thermal reasons
Power == Voltage x Amperage and when something dissipates power it gets hot (thats how electric heaters work... just a resistive element). Too much heat and it damages the component (you would like to be put in a 100C oven )

inverter in Watts? you sure. Inverters should be rated in VA since hte output is AC and I am 99.99999% that an inverter would NEVER be connected to an ideal resistive load, ie VA makes more sense
