Maybe the induction motor in an old grammophone was used as an inductor in the power supply for the amplifier.

Sorry for butting in, as I haven't been following your theme.

I had a Gramophone with a Motor that was like the disk type Electricity meters, and the needle was a screw in type like the old windups, then was electrically amplified. It's gone to a Museum.

I have a turntable that I haven't used for about 25 years. Its Shure magnetic cartridge is about 47 years old. The sylus has an ellipical diamond and it tracks at only 1.25 grams.

Hey, it's 33 1/3 RPM. Now add Moving Coil Cartridges to the mix or ceramic and moving magnet.
