hi guys
i need help selecting the right design for my rf remote control.
i'll be using the remote for my car to lock and unlock it, so it will be having 2 buttons. 1) lock 2) unlock.
the prob i face is which design to use
1) Encoder based
the circuit diagram is as shown in the link

https://www.rentron.com/rf_remote_control.htm

2) PIC Based
the link is https://www.serasidis.gr/circuits/RF_remote_control/RF_remote_control.htm

I hope after seeing both these circuits u would be able to tell me which ones better

Probably no difference?, both use a microcontroller and a licence free radio module - the second isn't PIC based by the way, it's Atmel based.

It's often cheaper to buy a ready programmed Holtek encoder/decoder, than buy a pair of microcontrollers.

For your purpose it's even better, because you can buy key fobs ready built - exactly what you need!.
