Replacements or sources for BB212 Varactor or Tuning Diodes

Back a few years ago I use to use a Varactor Diode labled BB212, now I'm getting back into electronics I was looking for a source for it however it seems it is no longer made and all my searches for a replacment part have come up with nothing so can I throw this to the forum members and ask if anyone knows a source for BB212 Varactor Diodes or else a replacement.

How many do you need? Where are you?

You might want to consider the MVAM115 which looks similar. A pair of 1N4004's connected common cathode might work in some circuits.

I've no personal experience of trying to source varactors, but a good many years back a company who specialised in repairing tuners told me that most varactors were obselete, and they were really struggling finding any suitable replacements.

That seems odd, I thought varactors were pretty common components in frequency synthesisers.
