Replacement of SK1429 SANYO N CHANNEL MOS FET

Dear All, Seek favor.Can I replace 2SK1429 to TO-247 ?
found short circuit of 2SK1429 at D,S,G 3 pin of power supply unit.
I can not find 2SK1429 or replacement 2SK3827 IN Malaysia, KL.
found VISHAY TO-247 in farnell Malaysia component site. Is it can I substitute in place of 2SK1429?

I am a electrician, have only basic knowledge of electronic, the Furono Rader power supply has problem with fuse keep blowing out.check and found 2SK1429 short circuited.Thanks for viewing my request and great appreciate for any helps.
