Replacement for MJ11030 Darlington

We have a circuit that uses a single MJ11030 device but I can't seem to find supply (Digikey has none). It is used in a fan controller circuit. Because it's a darlington and has a high current gain, I'm weary of substituting another device into the circuit as I'm not sure how robust the "driver" circuitry is that controls it.

Anyone know of a good substitute device? Or perhaps I could replace one device with two arranged in a darlington configuration?
