repair an old AM 27mhz rc receiver.

Hi everyboy, i bought this old receiver varioprop 27mhz mini superhet AM from ebay as faulty ,now i like to repair it, i have a working transmiter radio for it im not going to use it just i want to fox it for fun.so please can someone here help me were can i start the diagnostic thanks in advance.

Sorry i ve searched on the internet but it seems no shematics online
but i ve got another working receiver the same one.
 
It looks like someone has been messing with it in the past; there seems to be some dubious soldering & possibly damaged PCB traces around the centre right position in photo 1039.

I'd examine that area carefully with a good light and magnifier & try to fix any bad joints etc.
