Remote Control..!

Hello,
I have a doubt regarding the remote control module. We have plan to have a remote control for my project. Can anyone give details about it? Well, i will eloborate my doubt, Actually we decided to have a self levelling platform which it can level @ +or- 4degree. So, we want to have self calibration for the same platform with the use of Remote controller. Can anyone give us any idea and design plan how to proceed..?
