F foosm New Member Aug 16, 2003 #1 hi all, in the datasheet, it states that if i were to use Timer1 in the timer mode, the timer increments every instruction cycle , what does that mean ??? does it mean that the timer1 register will increase by 1 on every rising edge of the clock cycle.... where clock is 1/4 of the crystal / oscillator. that is, if i were to use a 4mhz crystal / oscillator, my timer1 register will increase at a rate of 1mhz the moment i enable timer1 ??? thanks a lot...
