hi...
as a part of my project i wish to implement reed solomon coder/decoder on a xilinx spartan series fpga kit .
i am familiar with verilog HDL and have done some work with it.Apart from that im new to this stuff.
so please help with valuable comments and suggestions.
thanks in advance.

I've heard that the efficient method is to first build the coder and decoder in Simulink and once you have it working in simulation, you can program the Spartan series directly. I've not done it, but this seems like the kind of steps to take.

thanks for the tip...
but is it possible to code the spartan kit directly using any HDL...
if so cud anyone help me to get the algorithms and implementation details???
