How do we get 140v when an 100v input ac is given to a bridge rectifier with the capacitor and load resistor existing.Kindly let me know with the calculation.

Research AC voltage measurements and the relationship of AC RMS volts Vs AC peak volatge. Basicly in the capacitor will charge to the peak AC value for low current loads (RMS X 1.414). This is all pretty well cover in most AC power supply theory in most any primer book or course.
