On old (non-digital) function generators they had those funny knobs to adjust things like duty cycle and DC offset where you had to pull the knob out for the dial setting to have effect. When pushed in, the duty cycle (or offset) would be 50% (or 0V) no matter what the dial was turned to.
What is this part called? I'm not entirely sure what terms to search for.
It just occured to me it could be a type of rotary dial knob that goes on a regular potentiometer that is also a push-pull switch where pushing in closes the switch and pulling opens it (and it is wired accordingly so that pushing it in corresponds to a preset potentiometer setting).
