Promotional Materials/Gifts

Hello. I was wondering what seems to be the "hottest" and most cost-effective promotional materials being ordered by business owners today, to give out to customers? It can be a little overwhelming looking at some of the sites that offer so many products from calendars, tee-shirts, tote bags, key-chains, magnets, cups, pens, ball caps, seat cushions, etc. It's great to have such an abundant variety but is there anything that stands out in particular that people really enjoy receiving and it doesn't get thrown in the trash and it works to get people to your web site?
